AVAST! 5 Internet Security Incoming Mail Issues-Windows XP-OE6-WLM

I replace AVAST 4.8 Pro with licensed AVAST 5!. All of a sudden I am having problem with Outlook Express 6 or Window Live Mail. Particularly when receiving mail from mail server. It drpos netweork connection. I’m using Windows XP SP3. I contacted Microsoft support. MS support was isolate the problem to AVAST 5. After removing AVAST 5, OE6 and WLM started working fine, howver I was without any protection. I reinstalled AVAST 5 and the problem resurfaced. I’m in the process of going back to AVAST Pro 4.8.

Any advice on what the problem is with AVAST 5 and how can it be resolved.

I’m in Canada and my mail server is on Rogers Yahoo. My mail account on Windows XP is aim931@rogers.com

Dont know why your installing avast 5 when avast 6 is the current version now and has been for quite some time, you’ll need to set the security in your email client SSL TLS to none so that avast can then handle and scan your mail.

Not a wise decision to post your email details here on the forum unless you dont mind it being harvested by spammers.
