Hello. Yesterday I installed the latest beta and have to say I am extremely impressed with what the avast team has accomplished. Like so many others I am impatient for final releases. It has I have 30 days to purchase but cannot find purchase info==also usually betas are not purchased unless I am wrong. Does anyone know what the price will be and if it will be available within 30 days? I have been using avast for years and never been sorry.

The betas will have that 30 day trial issue stuff, a new beta release should extend that I believe.
Only when the final release version 5.0 is available, will it be available for purchase.
I concur with that I am seriously considering upgrading Pro to IAS when it comes out. 'Cos it works like a dream on 7
I posted that a few times already but didn’t get any feedback: AIS (and the free version too) seems pretty much optimized for Win7 right ? right ? ;D while all the big issues seem to happen on XP and Vista…

But too bad most of the shops haven’t sold their old vista laptop they bought before so they cannot buy other new laptop or pc with windows 7
At least, on my XP-based system, AIS is quite stable as long as I don’t use the virtualization function. Windows 7 is probably the next major OS after XP and I think I’m going to end up with it sooner or later. However, I’d say, it’s still early for me…all of our systems work good enough and I cannot justify the cost for a Windows 7 system which works smoothly enough yet. I’d wait for the time to come when Newer system –resource for Windows 7 becomes much more efficient than Older system - resource for XP. Means, the time when the makers begin to make the system optimized for Windows 7 both in terms of the efficiency and the cost.
I feel bad for my system though, its not the optimized 7^^
Anyway the problems are all regarding on the beta^^
