There is a problem with the combination of these 3 programs. With Avast! and PC Tools running, the first time you try to start the WoW launcher, the entire system goes into a hard lockup. If you disable either Avast! or the Firewall, everything is fine. What I observed was that as soon as the Avast! icon started spinning, that was when the lockup occurred. This is on XP Pro SP3 fully updated.
After you disable Avast! and the firewall is able to create rules for the launcher, then everything works with both enabled.
Wait World Of Warcraft is a game right?
Avast 5 don’t take that much resource and Pctools firewall too but it can be that it is a lack of Ram…well that’s what I think about that game.
Got the same game and never had problem in private server. ???
Well in cyber cafee these computer are um…quad core I think…lolz and maybe have high ram also.
Oh sorry for the bad emo icon I always like to use this > : D
Hm…I don’t know any reasons now…
I have 2gb RAM with XP and that’s more than enough. I only have a single core processor though.
