Avast 5 pro making "My Computer" to open slowly.

I have recently installed avast 5 pro(on 27th June)…the version was 5.4* …
I’m just making this post to report a strange experience. Its that after installing the application ,whenever i open “My Computer” it opens up after some 5 sec. But before the installation the opening was instantaneous. But there is NO such lag when i go directly to any folder through their desktop shortcuts…!! (For eg- through shortcut my music folder D:\mp3\ opened instantaneous. )

Also when i try to refresh in “My Computer” it again takes around 5 sec to refresh.Also while changing icon sizes, coming back to My Computer from local drives by clicking “up” etc. it takes time to load.
In short, "My computer ",and only “My Computer” ,loading is slowed down in my PC. ???
But when i uninstalled the pro version and changed to Avast 5 free the problem was solved. 8)
Now i’m planning to continue with the free version ,but 'd like to share the experience in this forum.

System specs : 3gb RAM, Intel core 2 duo ,320 GB hdd, winxp sp2.

Modified : OS =winxp sp3.

Please update to SP3, SP2’s support is going to end soon (and your problem might be fixed by updating) :wink:

I had already tried the Microsoft support 's tips…N also the technix update tips(but from a diferent website,it doesnt matter anyway)…
Both dint work for me.

I think the new program update will solve this problem of yours.
