Avast 5 spam folder?

I have Avast 4 on one system and now 5 on this one. How do I know where the spam messages are going. Does it create a folder like version 4? Very confused by how the email scanning works any suggestions?

Depends on your mail client.
For Outlook 2003 and higher, the spam messages are put to the standard Junk Email folder.
For older Outlooks, they’re placed to a special folder (I think the default name is “avast! Spam” - can be changed in the Expert settings)
For other email clients, the messages are not moved anyway. Just a SPAM tag is added to the Subject line, so that you can easily create a rule to move them.
