Avast 5 what is the file avastUI.exe for?

New to the forum

I am wondering what avastUI.exe does

I am using Avast Free ver 5.1.864
The file is located in C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\avastUI.exe

like the name says, it’s the executable for the UI (User Interface), also called GUI. The graphics interface, what you see when you open Avast on the desktop :wink:
