Avast 6.0.1091 - Boot Scan -> Windows Not Genuine Issue

Using Avast 6.0.1091 Definitions up to date - no known issue and no malware on
system. Only out of curiosity, I ran the scheduled boot scan and sure enough
after it finished the “This Copy of Windows in not Genuine” appeared in the
right-hand corner of the screen.

It is pretty simple to fix if you know how however this should not happen and
seems to have been a bug for quite a while.

Any fix so the Boot Scan will not cause this issue?

did the boot up scan take any thing away. if you quarentian anything, try to restor them and reboot. see what happen

No nothing was found. Was not expecting any to be found, ran the boot scan to
see if the bug was still there. And it is.

Checked the link however nothing there to prevent it from happening.

I already knew how to fix the Not Genuine issue before I ran the scan.

Point is the boot scan should not do this. Especially when no malware exist.

So you want to say that this happens every time you run boot scan???

Yes it is repeatable. I recommend Avast often and others have told me
they had the same issue. There are many instances of this happening in
this forum.
