Avast 6.0 permanent BSOD and reboot

Hi!
First of all sorry, for not being here for so long time.
And now, to the problem. My mother need to bring her laptop for repairing, so I have to give her my old lenovo T40 for some time. So I have made a clean install of Win XP sp2 (Yeah, I know it’s old but still),installed the Avast free version 6.0, afterwards restart the laptop.
The problems begun, when the laptop starts to permanently fall in to BSOD after the Windows loading splash screen (that,with the moving blue stripe), afterwards go to restart.

Any solutions, to struggle this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Tnx in advance, Rostyk

On Boot Try Using Last known good settings.

please upload .dmp file from time of crash located in Your C:\Windows\Minidumps

to ftp.avast.com/incoming

it will help Avast coders fix it

Thanks Guys!
I’ll do it ASAP when I’ll be at home this evening.

@Dwarden
Hmm… It’s strange, but it seems like there’s no “minidumps” folder in my Windows directory.

hmm maybe You have enabled kernel dumps

do You have C:\Windows\memory.dmp file present ?
