Avast 6 Not Updating

Hi Guys !I’m using Avast Internet Security 6 from last 4 months !! Yesterday i formatted my laptop and installed it but i found that its not updating automatically !
then i tried updating it manually but that din’t worked !
I checked the firewall settings and found everything correct !! I unistalled the Avast and cleaned up the registry and then installed it but again its not working !!
When i’m connected to internet for the whole day it does not update but as soon i’m disconnected the error box pops out and says 'the last update was unsuccessful and…"

Tell me what to do guys !! :cry:

Set avast! to: Direct Connection (No Proxy)
Solved…??

It was already set to direct connection earlier in the morning !
I tried the second one also (use internet explorer proxy) but din’t worked !

But thats another version !! U mean my setup is corrupted or something like that ??

But i have installed the same setup on my desktop also and on that its working perfectly

Well,can u explain me the concept of installing the new version !! The desktop one is working fine and is fetching the updates ! but not this one ! :frowning:
