Avast 7.0.1426.0 upgrade, now computer slow and no internet

Hi Gang,

Yesterday I was prompted to update Avast, which I did. Since then, my computer has been running INCREDIBLY slow and my browser and email programs can’t access anything. Skype appears to be working.

I disabled Webshield, but this has had no effect.

I am also running ZoneAlarm 10.1.065.000, which had no problem with the previous Avast version I had.

Please help me as I can’t use my computer in this state. I’ve tried to repai Avast, but no joy.
