avast 7 30 day trial froze during instasl and is blocking DNS things. HELP PLZ?

i always found avast to be top notch, then there was all those issues with avast 6 stopping working and screwing my pc up, BUT eventuALLY I GOT AVAST 7 INSTALLED AND ALL SEEMED WELL… (woops, caPS!)
now i have just installed avast 7 onto my friends laptop and pc, both using windows 7 ultimate.

MAIN BODY:

all went well with the laptop, but on in install, the installer got stuck at firewall and froze. NOW when i try to connect to web, pages will not load due to dns issues, cannot connect and am fearing i am stuck with no protection. how do i get rid of the avast installer exe?

next issue:
deleting it wont work as it thinks it is updating.
revo hunter mode cant unlock or delete it, and even magic unlocker, whic is a great little tool cant deal with it.
WHAT DO I DO?

it must be added that i have just tried switching back on windows (7) firewall, and allowing various programs, and my google chrome browser to irewall, and switching it on. bu8t still cant load any web pages, error is “error 118” which means it timed out, which from tring to load any page looks like the ailed instalation Has “firewalled” me in. in effect the house copmp[uter here is useless due to the avast installer exe file freezing as it got to the firewall part o instalation, and has SERIOUSLY disabled my girlfriends pc.
ANY HELP?

In short, actions taken since earlier posting have been, flush dns, and switch back on windows .ffirewall, and add google chrome to allowed programs.
effect? still cant get online.

i cant find anything left over from the failed instalation to get rid of, but its in there and IS SERIOUSLY effecting the pc system. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SOME ONE HELP!

The avast removal tool http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility and many other vendor removal tools can be found here http://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software/ Make sure you have completely uninstalled previous AV’s and run the removal tool for them also before installing avast

Never use Revo to uninstall security programs as basically it doesn’t know the layout of the program and the manner in which it has to be removed, it’s also known to take some extras with it during its removal process and cause problems else where.

Does avast system tray icon report some problems?
Did the avast removal tool help you to get connected again ?
