Could someone please advise me how Avast and Win7 Definitions work together or should I block the Win7 Definition updates. since I am paying for Avast, why do I need the Win7 definition at all?? Tech Support please reply here and to my email which you have. Mr. Welch
If you mean the Windows Defender definitions you can disable defender, it’s not needed with avast.

Thanks for the info, but why is this not available on FAQ’s, you make it difficult to do business with you. The same as the Tech that could not solve my problem and I had to solve it myself. End of Avast next year, new vendor. You need me I do not need you. !!! Mr. Welch
Why would avast include anything about windows defender in there facts ??? it’s personal preference to run defender or not as it does not conflict with avast.
Defender has poor detection rate which is why I suggested to turn it off.
I’ve got no idea what problem your talking about ??? also your not doing business with me, I’m a user just like yourself.

Before you get all upset, maybe you should realize that we don’t work for Avast. We are all volunteers.
Almost all of us use avast! as our antivirus program and because we enjoy it, we’re willing to give back to anyone who may have a problem.
