well there is no sign of anything from Avast! in ur screenshot, try reinstalling the dictionary programme
(it does not seem to be a conflict, it is more likely that ur programme happened to request something from active x after Avast! is updated. totally coincidental)
I have reinstalled Avast 7 and Youdao mang times, but the same quastions appear again and again, do you have any soulutions to the problems concerning about the ActiveX?
it could be that Youdao requires some ActiveX installation for something new? (i dun use that programme so i cannot confirm)
however, make sure that Youdao is a safe programme…there are a lot of malicious ActiveX installations.
if it is from hxxp://dict.youdao.com/ (i edited the ‘http’), the desktop edition, heres the virustotal results on its installer.
theres only one flag on it, most likely a false positive.
so if ur sure its safe, u may allow the installation.
Although there is a flag, I still believe youdao, it maybe a false dectection
