Avast 7 Endpoint Protection Suite Plus -- Antispam module on Exchange 2010

Since upgrading to Avast 7 I have had multiple users report that the amount of SPAM they receive has actually increased. In addition to Avast I also use GFI MailEssentials for antispam/antivirus as well as my hardware firewall has limited SPAM-filtering capabilities.

I can bring up the avast antispam monitor on the Exchange server and I see it working – scanning emails and detecting spam. I pulled up the Whitelist and there are tons of email addresses listed. I see legitimate emails, but I also see a lot that are suspect. I have “Add recipients of outbound emails to whitelist automatically” selected.

Question #1 – Has anyone else seen this or know what may be happening?

Question #2 – How can I clear the whitelist? I know I can click on each entry, but there looks to be possibly thousands of entries (which is an indication that something is most likely wrong). I attempted a Google search to find the location – the results provided locations that don’t exist in my case (possibly earlier versions).
