Avast 7 free version WEB shield problem. I just noticed that Avast WEB shield is not compatible with comodo firewall.
I installed the comodo firewall and block some application for accessing the internet and my firewall block the application for accessing the internet.
Then i install the Avast free version with web shield, i notice that avastsvc.exe try to connect to internet if i allow it in my firewall the blocked application gets unblocked in my firewall and if i blocked the avastsvc.exe none of the application including firefox or internet explorer can’t access the internet.
To confirm it i disable the web shield in Avast and every think is fine .
AvastSvc.exe is the hart of Avast!. It checks all connection you do. If you block it with your firewall, you won’t have access to the web. If you block it with D+, Avast! won’t work.
You will have to choose another firewall for Avast! 7 free and pro if running W 7 until Comodo sort this thing out. Online Armor, Outpost, PCTools, Private Firewall will run with Avast!.
If your installing the free suite of Outpost then you need to do a custom install and only choose the firewall without the AV, you can also untick the spy and web shields from the firewall componant.
