Avast 7 Problems

Hi

I upgraded from version 6 to version 7 two days ago and since then my Outlook 2007 keeps freezing and crashing!!! I never had any problems before with avast. When I disable the avast shield control it works perfect. But as soon as sheild running problem comes back. I am running windows XP SP3 and Microsoft Outlook 2007 SP2.

Any ideas on a solution or can I revert back to Avast 6??

tente desinstalar o 7 e instalar o 6 um amigo teve o mesmo poblema e resolveu.(use o google tradutor)

Do you use Google Desktop?

i do not use google desktop!!

Any more sugestions on solving the problem? Should I uninstall and re-install Avast 6?

Does anyone have a link to avast 6??

It’s not a good idea to downgrade… Anyway, I suggest an installation from the scratch:

  1. Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
  2. Boot.
  3. Use Avast Uninstall for complete uninstallation.
  4. Boot.
  5. Stay off-line (not connected to Internet)
  6. Install again the old version: http://filehippo.com/download_avast_antivirus/ or http://www.oldapps.com/avast_antivirus.php?old_avast=6918
  7. Boot.
  8. Register avast (insert the registration key).
  9. Uncheck the programs updates (set to manual).
  10. Only then connect to Internet (go on-line).
  11. Check and post the results.
