Hello,
Not too long ago I did an Avast auto update and am now running version 7.0.1407. I’ve had several frustrating problems with this version, but so far I’ve found solutions to fix them all… until now.
Now I have a new problem. When I turn on my computer, XP starts to load. Then when the password prompt appears I’ll enter my password and XP continues to load… but then the little orange Avast icon in the bottom right hand corner appears… BUT it has an exclamation mark over it ( ! ) and the system stalls. The only thing I can do is to unplug the computer and start it again.
When I start it again… sometimes it’ll load normally or the above will happen again.
Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this? Hopefully without the usual “uninstall, reinstall” answer?
I did a search here on the forums for anyone with a similar problem, but couldn’t find anything.
Any info would be great appreciated!
