Thanks to all at Avast Team for this free AV,i have continued to use it for many,many years now,pleased to say i have had no problems with it on my Windows XP,SP3, i use it along with Private Firewall & Winpatrol and all runs like a dream!,no slow down or high cpu usage.

It has worked just fine for me too on my XP Pro system and on my win7 (32bit starter version) netbook.
It’s good to hear positive remarks back once in a while since this being a help forum is where we mostly deal with the problems.
Same here also, never had any issue’s with avast and it runs seamlessly on my 2 win7 systems and of all the friends and family systems its been installed on i never hear any complaints
