Salve!
Ho un problema con l’aggiornamento del programma: mi richiede l’update poi dopo il riavvio il PC va in blocco.
Solo ritornando alla versione precedente ricomincia a funzionare.
Che fare?
I’ve got a problem with the update of AvAst: the actual version is 8.0 1497. After I complete the update the PC stops functioning. I can use it again only after I come back at the last configuration.
I have a Windows XP sistem.

I’d suggest for you to use the avast removal tool to remove the version you have currently and install the latest stable release 2014.9.0.2011 so you are able to enjoy the benefits of the better protection that is provided with the new versions.

Ok first download this file from here: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility
Then entry in safe mode: and run it there.
And you good to go 
you can install the latest version

Note that you should download and save a copy of avast before removing the current version so that you are not going online minus protection to re-download, when you run the uninstall tool it will give you the option to reboot to safe mode to which you accept and run the tool for all versions of avast ever installed.
