Avast 8 - aswsnx failed to load (XP SP3)

HI all,
started seeing these in the Event Viewer. Just installed version 8 of Avast Free clean 4 or 5 days ago.
When I installed, I did a custom install, selected all the shields but deselected everything else.

What is aswsnx ?

I saw an old post in which PK asked the following:
“run command line and type: “fltmc load aswsnx”. What error message do you get? Thanks.”
I tried this a received error 0x80070057.

Avast itself seems to be running normally, and I have not attempted a repair.
Any thoughts?

I had a similar issue on Win 7 x64. I just did a repair and the driver is loading fine with no more errors.

Thanks for the info, I did the repair, re-booted and the error is gone.

Rebooted a couple of times, (as is normal for me since the box is triple boot),
checked the eventvwr again and the same error event has returned.

Something odd going on here. Interesting thing is, as I mentioned,
Avast AV seems to be operating just fine, no errors reported,
all shields apparently active, UI working, etc,etc.

Have the same error. What is this, and what should we do?
