Avast 8 limit the clock of my cpu

Hi,J just make a fresh install of Win 8 pro 64bits and when Avast 8 turn on in my pc the clock of my CPU is limited to 3.4 Ghz.Normaly when its load heavy the clock is 4.2 Ghz.I desinstall Avast and its ok

Why?. Core i5 3570k Asrock Z77 extreme3
