I run windows 8 Pro on a 64 bit System.
Can’t update when there aren’t any updates available. ???
How do I change the message or stop it from giving the System a bad rating ???
Since the release that’s quoted by Avast is the RTM version which isn’t release through the updater,
it’s something avast! shouldn’t find as outdated.
Not something for me to mark as ignore.
You’re welcome. Since patch Tuesday hasn’t arrived, it never should have been flagged in the first place on a windows 8 system.
Since this a new free service I guess there are still some bugs that need to be worked out.
Tell me about it. I have FF 19.0.2 installed yesterday and Software Updater said “Local version 19.0.02” and “New version 19.0”. I just got VPS 130308-1 so I thought, now SU have to report the correct FF version. I went to SU and it was reporting the same so I hit the Rescan buttom. LOL what the heck ? FF is now gone. It is not detected by Software Updater ;D :o : >:(
I obviously can’t fix what isn’t available. All this proves is that tweaks still need to be made to this part of avast!8
It also proves that this module of avast! 8 is aware of an update to the suspected out of date program
which Microsoft is slow in releasing to it’s customers.
well in my case it didnt show updates for Chrome, Firefox and iTunes. and once I got the newer versions it still shows the old ones as the ‘new’ version. Also now it doesnt show firefox at all, its not in the application list
