What does avast 8 free have to offer in additional features then avast 7 had? Also what is the memory usage in Task manager compared to MSE? I’m sorry for this question but i stopped using avast when the avast 8 was in closed beta… MSE uses 2,472k in memory does avast use less or a little bit more?
You really cant compare the two, MSE has only the bare bones which falls quite short on things like detection and lack of configurability.
I think you’ll also find there are three separate processes to MSE and all components running average about 40Mb, all two processes of avast average just below 4 Mb for me when idol.
So avast is better on using low memory so i made a good choice tonight switching back to avast i guess
