That should not be!
Obviously it did … there would not be any other reason to present german text if all besides the numbers-/currency-/date-/time-setting is set to english …
Btw: in WinXP (and in the same way in later Windows) there are several regional and language settings:
– Standard and formats (affecting numbers, currencies, date and time)
– Location (affecting what information you get – and NOT in what language that would be!!!)
– if your system has installed more than one language, you can also choose the language in menus and dialogues
– there is an advanced setting for the menu to display in non-unicode programs. but that does not to have influence to inserted text or information!
Conclusion: Avast is looking up some language setting somewhere where it should not …
