Avast accidentally identifying itself as a threat?

I have a subscription to Avast Premium Security. Today, it offered me a 60 day free trial to Clean-Up Premium. It downloaded and installed and then, I got a threat warning.

Not knowing what it was, I quarantined it, but a google search shows that asw_setup can be their own products. Strange.

Maybe Avast can detect bloatware

Please remember to cancel before the 60 days are up as they will soon charge you for a years licence on top of your premium. They seem to be very quick at doing that but sadly not sorting multiple issues out with their program especially the renewal for the free version.

I use wisecare 365 which is free and does a good job but i still get all the bloatware add ons critical warnings even on a brand new pc that had nothing loaded except the defaults and the antivirus and nord vpn. It still said i had over 20gb of junk, visible ip address, 10 outdated programs etc. total ollocks with a capitol B
