Avast Account Keeps Forgetting My Password

Hi, I can’t Sign-In to my Avast Account (I’ve tried two PCs running Win 7 Pro, x64, Google Chome browser).

I know my password is correct, but the Avast web portal isn’t accepting it.

The error message says “Password required” (as opposed to something like “Password incorrect”).

When setting up Avast Mobile Security (Free) everything went smoothly and my phone (HTC One S ) is connected.

To log in, I have to keep resetting my password then log in with the new one … but even that new one is no longer accepted within 24 hours :cry:

I know it is typed correctly:

  1. I’ve tried simpler passwords which can’t be forgotten;
  2. I copied-and-pasted the password to Notepad, then copied-and-pasted it back to avoid typo errors.

Nothing has worked!

Can anyone think of anything to help me (please)??
