I cannot log in to my Avast account with my e-mail and password. When I try, I always get the error message “Matrix failure, please reload the page”. The same happens when I try to reset the password.
Logging in with Google works (different account), but with my e-mail address it always fails.
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
How are you trying to log in, from the Avast Installation ?
Right click from the Tray icon and select registration of use the id.avast.com link if that fails.
You are using the wrong/incorrect email or password, if that s the case it won’t allow you to change the email and password without first logging on.
I am using the correct email and the correct password. These credentials have been in use by me for about 10 years. I can suggest that the problem might be related to the fact that I am using a mail client from a Russian developer.
I have no idea if that could be a reason or not. But if the email client is Russian or the email address is .ru, etc. Avast and other AVs and programs are restricted from providing services to russia.
