Outdated news from August 2022 ::slight_smile:

doesnt matter.avast can sell user data again to them.there is no gurantee that avast will not

Every company - app - service - device and so on collects and sells data, whether that data is identifiable to a user is all that should be a concern and i believe Avast have stated many times before that all identifiable data is stripped before passing it on.

Norton owns Avast now so maybe complaining on their forum may get you further

This Jumpshot issue is years old, so I have no idea what this so called News Service is banging on about.
See this forum topic - https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=231828.0 and https://press.avast.com/avast-to-commence-wind-down-of-subsidiary-jumpshot - from 30 JAN 2020

From my reading of the news article, it was that which was updated, so it is still flogging a dead horse.

An update of an update of an update

The Indo Asian News were quite late on the topic, some of their readers even later ;D

Yes, is not from yesterday, is from 8 months ago, but fact remains.

Persisting to be a fanboy despite the evidence is astonishing…

Even if the so called news service article is from 8 months ago, it doesn’t detract from the fact avast withdrew Jumpshot in January 2020 over 2years 4months previous to the article. Did you even bother to read the other posts in this topic or forum topic and Avast.com links I gave also!
Especially the update to the first topic and link to the avast-to-commence-wind-down-of-subsidiary-jumpshot these topics avast.com article and is dated from January 2020.

Or as they say don’t let the facts get in the way of a story.

If you don’t have a fresh news story to talk about,
dig up an old one. If that doesn’t work, make up something.
Time to pull this topic anyone interested in old news can read the original topic.

Aside from people have contributed a lot of time to it, finding the very old topic isn’t easy unless you know what you are looking for.

So no I don’t think it should be deleted as that is what pulled means.
Until the forum software comes up with a means of locking a topic, then no, I don’t believe it should be deleted.

All your post has done is revive it.
