Avast(AIS) firewall and Msn Messenger

Hi :wink:

When I send image(s) or word file(s) via Msn to my friend(s),Msn gives me known message. Avast firewall(AIS) blocked file transfer to finish this transfer I have to change Avast firewall(AIS) profile to Doma profile,completely understand that the transfer has been blocked by Avast firewall(AIS) but why Avast firewall doesn,t blok file transfer if someone send me a file via Msn?

PS:

I use Javno Mesto profile in Avast Firewall(AIS)

Javno mesto=Public(High risk zone)
Doma=Home(Low risk zone)

My nephew was infected by a file sent via YM. It got right by avast!'s IM Shield.

I told him to use ZoneAlarm. It catches IM files, you can allow or block them.

Works for me and my nephew. :slight_smile:

I uninstalled the avast! firewall and replaced it with ZA.

All you have to do is hit uninstall AIS, in the change AIS set up change the check mark for firewall to an X.

Compete the set up.
