Avast always scans Chromium - even when in exclusions list

I have added Chromium to the exclusions list - but Avast still scans every time it opens.

File Paths tab = C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Chromium*
Deep Screen Tab = C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Chromium\Application\chrome.exe

Any suggestions to allow it to run without scan?

Can I ask why you want to add Chromium to the exclusions list (the purpose/action you seek to achieve in doing this) ?

If it is only chrome.exe that you wish to exclude then use the full path to that file as the wildcard * leaves a large hole in your protection.

If you are seeking to have the actions of chrome.exe excluded, that isn’t the purpose of the exclusions, you can exclude a file from being scanned, but not its actions.

Where are you settings this exclusion ?
