Hello everyone…I am a new Avast user.
I am currently using Avast with a dialup connection. I may eventually change to Broadband. I plan to keep my dialup connection as well for a while longer.
My question is this…
Is is possible to keep Avast and use it with dial-up and broadband?
Are the settings automatically detected when I use broadband or will I have to change them?

You can set them manually. Right click the “a” icon, select program settings, click on update connections. You will see two boxes. Tick the one you want. Avast will check for updates regardless of which is checked. The difference being on dialup, it will check for a connection first, on the always connected setting, it will assume a connection and check for updates.
