Avast and dialup

I’ve been having dramas with a wireless internet connection that I’ve recently purchased and I was wondering if AVAST might be causing the issue since it’s only computers with AVAST installed that play up.

What has me concerned is that AVAST considers my Outlook to be a internet mail subsystem, and the Outlook section says that it’s waiting for the Outlook subsystem to start, even though Outlook is running.’

Should this be the case?

Which operating system are you using?

Your subject says dialup … but then you mention a wireless internet connection. Are you sharing a dialup connection over a wireless LAN?

When you say Outlook do you mean a product like Outlook 2003 or do you mean Outlook Express? They are quite different.
