Avast and Download Accelerator Plus

Hi,

I use Download accelerator Plus and have always used their feature to scan any downloaded files upon completion. When I used AVG, I would just set up the feature to use the AVG command line scanner to chek my downloads for viruses.

However, I cannot seem to tell which executable I would use for this with avast.

I hope the answer is not going to be that it cannot be done with the home version…

Any advice would be appreciated.

David

I don’t know if there is a function to automatically scan anything you have downloaded, as I haven’t used download accelerator plus yet.

I do know that if you right click the downloaded file and click, “Scan (filename)” it will scan the file for you.

I assume that you are speaking of being able to specify a scanning program to your Accelerator.

In avast the program is:

C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe

Please adjust as necessary for your avast installation.

Hi alanrf,

Yes, that is what I meant. sorry if it my question was not very clear. Thank you. I have specified ashquick.exe as the executable to run to scan files I downloaded with DAP.

David
