since installing 4.6 yesterday, it is blocking Google Desktop’s access to Outlook. when clicking “View in Outlook”, GD is unable to access the particular email.
same with Nelson Email Organizer, which also interfaces with Outlook so you can retrieve an individual email from Outlook within NEO.
How can I disable 4.6 from blocking access to Outlook from within my computer, while still maintaining virus protection for emails coming into Outlook from outside my computer?
I’m sure thousands of your users are having, or will start to have, this problem.
I’m sorry that I cannot help you with neither your Google Desktop nor Nelson Email Organizer (NEO) problems as I do not use neither program nor am I familiar with either one.
But, hopefully, someone here knows something about these programs and will post a reply soon.
Edit:
Also, tell what your OS is and if you have a firewall or not. If you have a firewall, be sure that the avast programs are allowed through the firewall. And … do you happen to use Outlook Connector? If so, read here …
Global9, don’t hijack other unrelated topics, please.
I’m not familiar with either of the programs. An obvious question, however, is: if you temporarily stop avast! resident providers, one by one, does the problem disappear with one of them?
