a friend of mine had kasperky installed on his pc. after uninstalling it and cleaning the registry, he always has this message on startup (see pic).
he checked for running processes and nothing is refering to KAV. can anyone help him?

obviously he didn’t quite clean the registry… or didn’t uninstall KAV properly…
did he reboot after uninstalling KAV ?
I don’t quite remember exactly, (PLEASE use the BOARD-Search FIRST)
but the solution was imho to rename the key or ServiceName in Regedit, which refers to Kaspersky.
This might be something like:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services<Kaspersky AntiVirus>
or try deinstalling the respective KAV-driver from
ControlPanel → System → Hardware → DeviceManager → View → ShoHiddenDevices → Non-PnP-drivers →
Be careful, what you change there
