Avast and MSE

I’m thinking of using MSE as a second opinion scanner. I’m currently using Avast 5.0454 free, all shields on with a weekly scan and do an occasional scan with MBAM free. The reasoning behind using MSE as a second opinion is due it can be scheduled so I won’t forget.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I personally use Hitman Pro as an on-demand scanner, Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware as well.
6 engines are greater than 1 so that’s why I use HMP.

If your going to use both you should turn off resident protection in MSE.

And also add the mutual exclusion into both programs.
MSE will detect avast temporary files and vice-versa.
