After installing Outpost Firewall Pro, I added the program to Avast File System Shield Exclusions, as advised during installation. Are there any other exclusions required?
I also have Malwarebytes as an exclusion in Avast and vice-versa. I know some Avast users use Malwarebytes and Outpost Firewall, so I hope you don’t mind my asking whether Outpost Firewall also needs to be added to Malwarebytes Exclusions?

While I don’t use OutPost or MBAM Pro, I would think it would be safe to exclude all three programs from each other, since they all run in real time.
The only exclusion I have in the file system shield for Outpost Pro is for C:\Program Files\Agnitum\Outpost Firewall Pro\wl_hook.dll and nothing else and I have been using avast and outpost firewall pro for many years without problem.
The only exclusion (Ignore List) I have in MBAM Pro is for c:\windows\temp_avast_ this is where avast unpacks files to be scanned.

Just one more thing! I got a popup from Outpost Application Guard saying “Malwarebytes is blocked while attempting to access protected applications”. I was accessing Windows Live Mail at the time. I’ve now set Malwarebytes as an exclusion in the Application Guard (the only exclusion). I’m just puzzled why I don’t get a similar popup saying Avast is blocked when I access Windows Live Mail or indeed Internet Explorer, the other protected application in Outpost.
Outpost Firewall Pro has in its Proactive Protection and Application Guard to stop other unauthorised applications accessing them, email clients and browsers typically, but you can add others, see image example of my current exclusions.
You can add it to the exclusions, unfortunately the Outpost pop-up doesn’t loiter very long as there is a clickable option there to add it to the exceptions. Otherwise you have to add it manually in the Outpost, Settings, Proactive Protection, Application Guard, Exclusions.
