Avast and Symbian OS Viruses?

• Is Avast able to find and delete Symbian Viruses??
  And does it protect against Phising too???

do you mean phishing (visiting a wrong homepage and entering your login-data)?

then no, because avast has no phishing filter - its “only” a powerful antivirus…

i don’t know if it finds symbian viruses, but i don’t think so, because its not an antivirus for mobile telephones… (there are not many symbian viruses at all…)

There is a version os avast for mobile phones, but it isn’t free, avast 4 pda, http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_pda.html. There is also a forum specifically for it, but I don’t know if it supports the Symbian OS.

avast! doesn’t have any anti-phishing function, but Firefox 3.0 has built in anti-phishing.

IE7 has a phishing filter that can be enabled in Advance settings.

Yes i meant phishing … just wrong typing…

anw i know avast 4.8 is not mobile av but some antivirus softwares for pc are able to detect and delete symbian viruses before you transfer file to mobile phone.
