Avast and Thunderbird Cannot establish TLS with SMTP server

I still have this Problem:
If i run Thunderbird and Avast ver. 7.0.14.26

I can´t send Mails because this Window pop up:

Fehler beim Senden der Nachricht:
Der Mail-Server hat keine korrekte Begrüßung gesendet:
Cannot establish TLS with SMTP server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxx, SSL_connect error 5.

If i deaktivate the mail security part of the programm, Thunderbird still works.
Is this an normal Problem?
If there are some solutions on other Topics, it would be nice to post an Link

Check this article - avast! 6.x, 7.x: SSL Problems The Mail Shield may not scan some e-mails - see https://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=842. Whilst this is an old article and mentions avast6 it is relevant for avast7 also.
