Hi
Does anyone knows if avast e-mail modulechecker is compatible with mozilla thunderbird?
If yes how do I configure it thanks
Hello mac_stitch,
Yes avast! and Thunderbird are compatible. No need to configure anything it’s all done for you, when you are sending or downloading mail, you will notice in your taskbar a mail sign, that means avast! is scanning your incoming or ourgoing mail.

Well, it is all done for you if you are:
- running Windows NT/2000/XP.
-and-
- using regular POP3/SMTP mail accounts with Thunderbird
If you are using Win98/Me then you will need the help of the avast Mail Wizard.
If you are using any third party programs with Thunderbird or the WebMail extensions for Yahoo/Hotmail etc. you will need a little more help. Let us know if you need that.
thanks for your help but I dont see that message on any email
can you help me
Please tell us which operating system you are using.
I use xp but I think I see now in the taskbar an iconthat apperas everytime I send and receive a mail so avast check it. So I think there is the answer, ev en isn´t here any posibility that avast put a message on the mails like the configuration that have avast with outlook? thanks again
If you want the “clean” message inserted into your emails then:
Internet Mail scanner > Customize > POP3 tab > Check the box for “Insert note into clean message”
Same for outgoing mail on the SMTP tab.
ohh thank you very much
it works thanks man
