Avast and windows 7 system restore

Hi, I asked a question yesterday about system restore not working on win7, and Im surprised no one seemed to be into this subject, anyway what I did was make a manual restore point, disable avast self protection module and try a system restore. The first time it has worked, success.

I gues Ive answered my own question, but I dont believe im the first to know about this issue???

I thought problems with system restore were fixed in the latest build. (5.0.594)
Are you using this version…? Which problems do you have…??

Hi, Im using 5.0.594 and it will not restore until I turn self defense module off? Thanks

System Restore has not been fixed in the latest version.
It is still necessary to turn defense off.
I should know i tried it.

Are you both on W7…?? 32 or 64 bit…?
