What operating system and Service Pack level are you using ???
What is the avast! package you are using. Free, Pro or AIS ???
I have WMP 12 on my little win7 netbook and that appears to be working just fine and the visualizations are working too.
No problems here with WMP 12 and skins and visualizations…
No problem at all here with Media Player 10. The visualizations work as they always did.
ALSO–BEWARE --clicking on the link in the OP started up a fake scan by a rogue AV.
