Avast Anti-Spam not filtering SPAM

Hello,

I have Avast Internet Security installed on my laptop.

I use both Outlook 2013 for my work emails and em Client for my personal emails (4 accounts).

I have the AntiSpam option enabled and set to “No Mercy” but still SPAM gets through, even the typical Vi ag ra messages.

In Outlook I have the Avast AntiSpam section in the HOME ribbon and the buttons work. No such option in em Client.

The Avast ‘This message is clean’ is correctly added to outgoing mail so I know Avast is somehow looking at my emails.

So how come I’m still getting so much SPAM in my inbox?

Any help or advice most gratefully received.
