Avast anti theft visible in avast mobile security menu after activation

I enabled anti theft feature being rooted, it said anti theft was in stealth mode, but it is still visible in avast mobile security menu. Is that by design or I have something wrong? That’s weird if it’s by design, because when I choose it from that menu, while asking for pin, it shows in the background that anti-theft is enabled. Whats the point of calling your pin to enable anti-theft then??

Another question, if i disable super user after i installed avast mobile security rooted, will it continue to work with all needed privileges?

thats done by design. If you don’t want this, you can pin-protect Mobile Security.

we offer this, for Anti-Theft stand-alone users. you can uninstall Mobile Security and operate Anti-Theft alone (and therefore a lot better hidden)

no, super user privileges are still needed for root features. however, you can still operate the "common" features use it hard reset protected.

A little bit offtop question: when I change sim card in my device, is it possible to see new sim card phone number on avast.com? (maybe this option is present only in premium? I mean if i tick off sending sms to another phone number from this device and to avast server, will it show new sim number or it will just tell me, that my device has new sim?

Hello,

if you disabled portal SMS, my.avast.com won’t know the new phone number. Portal SMS (you find the setting in Anti-Theft → avast! Account) aren’t premium. But they are international SMS - for everyone but the czech customers.
