Avast Anti-Theft (Your device isn't compatible with this version)

When I go to the Google Play Store page for Avast Anti-Theft on my LG G4 H815 running Android 5.1 I get the following message “Your device isn’t compatible with this version”. My phone isn’t rooted so I can’t really use the rooted version which happens to not have this issue. I also have a Samsung Galaxy S4 running Android 5.0.1 which doesn’t have this issue and also received an updated for Anti-Theft on the 3rd of November. I uninstalled the build of Anti-Theft that was installed on my LG G4 after I noticed this issue because it wasn’t going to get updates. Does anyone know what the issues is and when it is likely to get fixed?

Same with my Samsung S5 Neo, Android 5.1.1. Not compatible :frowning:

Wanna know too, what happens here and if there will be a fix soon, that I can run it on my new device.

Hi, please check it again on Google play.

I checked it Multi times. Last time 2 hours ago. It still says incompatible.

Now it is also incompatible with my old Xperia ZR with Android 5.1.1

Seems it depends on Android 5.1.1

Having same problem - anti theft not compatible with devices. Nexus 6 w/Android 5.1.1, build LMY48W. Also Nexus 6p w/Android 6.0, build MDB08L. Both devices are running Mobile Security 5.0.2-8394-2e09f19. Seems to be the latest update I have received (a beta version?). Hope that Anti Theft will come back soon!

I’ve just checked Avast Anti-Theft in the Google Play Store on my LG G4 and it still says “Your device isn’t compatible with this version”.

Today, I downloaded and installed Avast Mobile Security on Motorola Droid Turbo phone and that works. However, when I went back to Play Store to download and install Avast Anti-Theft, it said that “your device is incompatible with this version”. The Android version is 5.1 and this is a brand new phone. Is 5.1 too new???

Samsung Note 4 thw same not compatible :o

I get a mail from avast support.

They tell me, that they know the problem and they working to solve it.

I shall wait a little bit and try to install it in 24 to 48 hours again. Maybe it will work than again.

It is a known problem they say.

I think the problem is Android 5.1.1

No one ever knowed that it will come so fast

Same problem, Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, Android 5.1.1

I have the same problem, with xPeria Z3 tablet. Yesterday I had Avast Anti-Theft instaled on it, but I had to erase the tablet and then Avast Anti-Theft told me than not compatible.

Same problem, iNew U3, android 5.1

Works now
