Igor, I got the same error while using Google translation of Russian web pages. I got a lot of ??? ??? ??? … Some time ago, Vlk said it was related to cyrilic characters into Internet Explorer that should be activated (or installed)…

That’s probably what I said - incorrect charset (in browsers, it’s usually called “Encoding”).
I’m sure it’s nothing we can’t solve
