Avast! Antispam is inactive with Outlook 2010 64bit

When using Outlook 2010 64bit under the Add-in options the Avast! Antispam is listed as “Inactive Application Add-in”. I cannot enable it which is common for some 32bit add-ins with 64bit Office.

Indeed it is not possible to load a 32-bit DLL into an address space of a 64-bit application. Therefore the add-in is listed as inactive. There is nothing we can do about this until we develop a 64-bit version of the antispam toolbar add-in. AFAIK it will be a part of Avast 5.1 due out this summer.

Hi, I’m new here…

I’ve buy Avast Internet Security Suit and its reaaly fast. But, the “Antispam” did not work with Outlook 2010 x64.
Any news or ideas when it be work?

My PC OS: MS Win 7 x64, Office 2010 x64

Release date? It should work starting with avast v6.0, released about 7 weeks ago…

Apologies. You were right and I was wrong. We have an internal build where it’s working but this is not yet publicly available.
Will be in one of the upcoming program updates.

Well, now its more than 5 month I’ve bought the Internet security suit. And the Office 2010 64bit Antispam function is already not supported! Why I pay for a Antivirus Software that are not working with a 64bit system and a 64bit Office Suit.

When will it supported? Next Update, next update… still waiting and gone are 5 month…

This is absurd, I also bought a subscription and when I upgraded to Office 2010 I realized that avast’s antispam doesn’t work!!!

Subject: Anti-spam. I too, have problems with avast anti-spam. It works soomtimes, but does not pay attention to the ‘block’ command no matter how often I block someone. I even pd a tech to fix it but still no luck. I’d like to cancel avast anti-spam as tech also told me not to have 2 anti-spams. How do I cancel? Pkaveney

Just bought Avast 6 Security Suite - v6.0.1367 (on Win 7, 64 bits) and the Outlook Anti-Pam plug-in is still not working. ::slight_smile:
