Avast Antivirus blocking Amazon.com

Got the following warning about Amazon.com. Anyone else.

Yes, I normally can sign in to amazon just fine. Today I keep on getting this message, which aborts the sign-in.
I have tried several browsers and still get the message.

I have tried Firefox 113.0.1 and Microsoft Edge 113.0.1774.4

If someone at Avast could look into this. I think this is very recent.

Cheers.

Joe

No problems on that domain. No warning. Latest Firefox and latest Avast Free.

I don’t use https scanning. If that makes a difference.

Also I don’t have an Amazon account so I didn’t attempt a login. I just visited the site.

Avast is blocking Amazon.com on all my PC that have Avast. It just suddenly happened today, 13th May2023. I was able to login to Amazon.com using my smart phone. I was able to login also on my old laptop that doesn’t have Avast. So the problem is on Avast

having the same thing, started today. only appears when i try to log into gaming.amazon.com.

Avast blocking login screen for Amazon.com - claiming it is due to a URL:Phishing infection…scanned full URL login link at VirusTotal with NO INFECTIONS discovered out of 86 vendor scans - clearly an isolated Avast issue - please update immediately!

Whilst I didn’t attempt to login (I don’t have an account) no alert on gaming.amazon.com.

That said it is a few hours after your post and may have been corrected.

You can also use this if it hasn’t been corrected - Reporting a Possible False Positive File or Website - https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php.

Thanks David. The issue has indeed corrected itself

You’re welcome.

Sent message to Avast customer support. On my next attempt to login the following morning, it was working. Received an email later from Avast customer support saying that it was fixed and offer further assistance just in case. Although this issue should not happen, I’m satisfied with the customer support and glad to be joining this forum. Thanks!

Thanks for the confirmation.
