I have installed avast antivirus free version, malwarebytes anti-malware free version, super anti-spyware free version and outpost firewall 2009 free version .
Now my avast antivirus definitions are not updating even manually. It says your definitions are out of date.Plz help
should i re-install avast .
yes , i did register avast and it was working fine till yesterday.
And what happen if you disable the firewall Outpost?
Are avast allowed to connect into Outpost’s settings?
Thank you everybody for your helpful suggestions.
The problem is solved now.
But I still do not know why it happened in the first place.
I disabled Outpost firewall and tried but nothing worked.
Then I un-installed the application and re-installed it. It worked.
Thank you everybody.
This is a typical case of firewall blocking… Glitches happens!
I havn’t un-installed my firewall.
Instead I un-installed avast antivirus and then installed it again.
If it was a case of firewall glitch then it should have created the same problem again.
debanjan, firewall has glitches. avast does connect and update in 100+ million computers. Can’t you test uninstalling the firewall, boot, install again?
re-installing avast solved the problem. thats what I was trying to tell through my earlier posts.
