I have recently upgraded Avast mobile security to the Pro version on my Samsung phone & Samsung tab A tablet. The app locking feature is now not working. The slider buttons are frozen and will not allow me to change any settings. I must be doing something wrong. Any advice?
do you use some app like Twilight, CF.lumen or other “color overlay” apps?
Yes. I recently began using Twilight. Based on the fact you identified the app do I just turn it off or do I have to discontinue use?
I suspect that is causing it not to work.
avast has “tabjacking” protection.
I’m not sure if disabling it will be enough or that you have to remove it completely.
I would say disable it and see if the problem is solved.
If not, remove it and check again.

I also upgraded to the Pro version…last night…and now my app locking feature has stopped working. It worked fine with the free version. I don’t think I’m using any of the apps mentioned above.

No I don’t have those apps installed.
When I open an app…that is locked in AMS settings…the screen no longer appears to enter my pin number. This feature was working fine with the free version but not now on Pro version…I have changed nothing apart from paying so I could use the app locker on more than 3 apps.
EDIT: AMS updated 1st…then I got the upgrade message about having to go Pro to fully utilise the app locker.

UPDATE:- App locking is now working as before with the free version. I’ve changed nothing since yesterday but I’m just happy it’s now working.

My guess is a reboot or something like that.
